Today’s a New Day

We’ve all experienced emotional sorrow, even on a small scale. The never-ending battle to move beyond may be too large a hurdle to jump.

The uncontrollable emotion called grief can strip all innocence from life. It will zap a person’s very strength with a feeling so staggering the Bible discloses this truth in two simple words. “Jesus wept” (John 11:35). Although his words may seem trivial, the emotional pain must have been staggering.

We’re not alone, even though we may feel that way. Others are grieveing similar losses all over the world, yet right beside us.

The most important thing to remember is that God knows how we feel. He knows our pain, and grieves with us every moment of every day. That alone is reason enough to begin each day realizing we can conquer our struggles.
