9/11 and Beyond~God’s Comfort

God’s Comfort

September 9, 2011 will always be remembered as a horrible tragedy in American history. How did we let our guard down and allow our enemies to commit this travesty?

On the flip side, how do people overcome their sorrow after losing their loved one?

The peace that passes all understanding flowing from God above was my only sanity during the days and months following the death of my son, who was killed in a car accident. It was then I realized God was in control even though I wasn’t. And, because I trusted Him, His comfort surround me like a warm, fuzzy blanket. Never before had I experienced such calming presence. The Holy Spirit was there as promised in God’s word; and hovered near, bringing peace and tranquility to my crushed and shattered soul.

How about you? Can you honestly say God will be with you when you experience personal tragedy?  Read (John 3:16)

…to comfort all who mourn. Isaiah 61:2
