9/11 Re-visited

Today I watched video footage collected from September 11, 2001 as it unfolded to the world. It brought back vivid memories of that day as I relived those first moments once again. The morning it happened, I sat glued to my television and watched as an airplane hit one of the Twin Towers in New York City. I watched in horror and disbelief as the second tower was hit. It wasn’t long before the first tower collapsed causing huge billows of debris and black clouds to engulf the entire area. Blue lights flashing, sirens screaming,  and people running in terror will stay in my mind for years to come.

Reminders of this tragedy caused by a hostile terrorist attack should never be far from our minds. Yes, it could happen again.

“Stay prayed up and ready to go up,” an old minister used to say.

Everyone should listen to his advice.
