It’s understandable why parents from the Sandy Hook Elementary School are so rattled. In a recent massacre, they lost a child; either personally, relationally, or locally. Simply said, they want their problem fixed.
Our hearts go out to them.
But for others who’ve also lost a child, the pain goes well beyond the ordinary. And why? Because we understand the road they travel. We know the gut-wrenching, fist in the stomach heartache, pain, and anger they face on a daily basis. We know what it feels like. We’ve been there. We’ve done that. We know their sorrow.
In fact, we’re still on that emotional train ourselves. We understand.
Do you know that comfort?
